News:I Disagree With Sections of the Public Saying Becca is Struggling to Record Hit Songs (Chart-topper songs) ever since I Stopped Writing Songs For Her -Akwaboah Jnr fumes

Over the weekend, award-winning Songwriter, Composer, Keyboardist, Voice trainer Akwaboah Jnr had a heart to heart radio interview with Mic Gizo on Hitz fm’s ‘Showbiz Today’ program where he unveiled and revealed about his life, how it all started for him and more. 

When he was asked whether he agrees with sections of the public always claiming that songstress Becca, is struggling to get her old form back ever since he, Akwaboah Jnr left Becca’s camp and as well stopped writing songs for her, since those days she more or less used to almost be in their faces day in, day out, releasing hit songs upon hit songs and more, Akwaboah Jnr commented, “I disagree with this assertion, and who told them my sister Becca is struggling? The lady is organizing her own annual show, playing gigs left and right, signing ambassadorial deals and more, does these in anyway suggest to them that Becca is struggling? So to say Becca is struggling for me, is neither here nor there”.

He hasten to add that no sooner than later, he will start writing songs for her again, and only that this time around, she will be bringing the cheque and sign some one or two documents , and that he is saying bye-bye to writing songs for free. 

Apparently Akwaboah Jnr has written and composed more and more songs for Becca, and it was not only the ‘Daa ke Daa’ song we knew of. The philanthropist award-winning songwriter and composer has also written songs for various artistes like Efya, DSP Kofi Sarpong and more.

On why he has relegated writing of songs to the bottom, and now singing on his own more and more, of late, he disclosed, “I was inspired by the likes of Ne-yo, R Kelly, Baby face and few others that I can still do more than just writing songs for others, and even since time immemorial I have been singing. My grandfather is a musician likewise my dad, so singing is even more to me than a hobby”.

Gladstone Kwabena Junior Akwaboah also disclosed in the course of the interview that he is still single because he wants to do music for a while, and that he wants to get to that stage where he can combine relationship stuffs with the stage, and find the balance effectively between the two.

Akwaboah Jnr is set to release his maiden album in May thereabout. His personality, composure, attitude, voice, his choice of words as well as his kind of music has made him won the heart of both old and young audiences out there.
