Accra Academy Beats Adisadel College, Osei Tutu SHS to win Vodafone Icons High School edition

The team from Accra Academy, on Tuesday November 10, emerged the proud winners of the maiden edition of the Vodafone Icons High School edition musical competition.

The entertainers beat five other Senior High Schools in the country at the grand finale of the well run competition.

As part of the dynamics of the game, this year’s judges, issued ‘Power to You’ cards to save the six best performers of the day—Presec Legon, Opoku Ware, Osei Tutu, Accra Academy, Christian Methodist and Adisadel College, however Adisadel College, Accra Academy and Osei Tutu were the three schools who made it to the grand finale, with Accra Academy been announced the winners for this year's Vodafone Icons. 

As their prize, the Accra Aca boys were presented with a music studio and also have the opportunity to represent Ghana at the global high school musical contest organised by Vodafone in Turkey.

All six schools who qualified for the semi-finals gave electrifying performances that got students, school administrators, parents, old students, and the general public cheering them non-stop.

The finale was held at the Accra International conference center and hosted by Starr FM’s Anita Erskine.
