News: Let’s Stop Hailing Ghanaian DJs who ply their trade outside Ghana When They Come Down; They only Project Nigerian Songs to the detriment of our Ghanaian songs- Trigmatic pleads

Bald-head rapper, Nana Yaw Oduro, simply known in the showbiz world as Trigmatic in an interview with Blackboi on GHOne’s Rhythm’s show disclosed among others that Ghanaian Djs outside Ghana especially in the UK play only Nigerian songs to the disadvantage of our local songs, he said, “When you get to the UK, you would found out that our Ghanaian Djs play more of Nigerian songs to that of ours. For example, they can play like 7 Nigerian songs in a row, and play only two Ghanaian songs”.

He also added that what even bothers him is that there are far more Ghanaian Djs out there as compared to the Nigerian Djs, and that he just simply can’t understand why they have decided to be doing this. Trigmatic again added that, “When they come down to Ghana, they behave as if they are helping us, and we also make mistake by hailing them as if they, the Ghanaian djs are projecting our local songs out there. Indeed, it’s high time we make them aware of this, it’s just not fair”. 

When he was pushed by the host to mention some names, he commented, “I just don’t want to mention names, but what I’m saying is true. They would play more Nigerian songs and just fused in just one or two Ghanaian songs”.

Rapper Trigmatic is set to release an album in June thereabout, and he is also expected to embark on community projects this year.
