Black
Stars skipper and Philanthropist, Asamoah Gyan had an exclusive interview with Bola
Ray on Starr fm on Wednesday evening about the AFCON 2015 tournament, about the
whereabouts of his close pal, Castro and more.
On
what account for the sort of unity that is in the senior national team now, he
disclosed, “I tried as much as possible to relax the players, I would usually crack
jokes, organize dance competitions likewise ‘jama’ sessions just to psyche them
up as well as make them forget about their worries”.
He
added that honestly he was disappointed as they weren’t able to lift the AFCON
trophy, he also disclosed that he felt so bad seeing Dede Ayew all teary and
that, it was just an emotional moment for all of them.
Prior
to the AFCON tournament, there was an alleged case against his brother, Baffor
Gyan for slapping Daily Graphic’s Ashanti regional reporter, Daniel Kenu. When
asked by Bola Ray whether it is true that something of a sort happened and he
had to give some amount of money to Daniel Kenu to withdraw the case from
court, Gyan who now gathered momentum after recovering from Bola Ray earlier asking
him all about hiplife act Castro exclaimed that, “honestly, I would have even
slap Daniel Kenu myself. How can you just asked that question as at that point
in time, and truth be told, Baffor Gyan wasn’t the one who organized the boys
to attack him.”
He
added that he was even shocked that question came out from the mouth of Daniel
Kenu and that he is a friend with him for so many years, and that he always respects
him a lot, he was just shocked to the core when Daniel asked him that question.
Asamoah Gyan has been
playing for the Black Stars since 2003. The skipper disclosed that no player in
the history of Ghanaian football has been critically critical criticized by
Ghanaian football lovers than him, but the criticisms urges him on day in, day
out.
The
go-getter Black Stars skipper, Investor, Entrepreneur, and Philanthropist is
married to Gifty Abena Oware-Gyan and together, both are having 4 children; three
(3) boys and 1 girl.
