It’s Official: I’m submitting my songs for nominations @ this year’s VGMAs because of my fans – Shatta Wale makes U-turn
From composing songs such as ‘Me no need your award’ to
‘Man of the year’ then to revealing publicly that he’s putting all his 3 VGMA
awards that he won for sale for just 2 Ghana Cedis since the plaques were just
wood and irrelevant to him and his career, then to saying he doesn’t believe in
the VGMAs, as well as saying other damaging stuffs against Charterhouse and the
VGMAs, self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale has made a huge U-turn.
Guess what? Shatta Wale has revealed with all the vim and
vigour that he will submit his songs to Charterhouse, the organizers of the
prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for considerations at this year’s
VGMAs. He made this revelation on Peace Fm’s entertainment review show over the
weekend.
When asked whether he is still opting out of VGMAs this
year, he said, “oo for some time now, my fans have
been putting pressure on me, begging me to submit my songs for considerations
at the VGMAs”.
He went on to say, “Since my fans are my god, and what
they say are final, I’ve decided that I don’t have any choice but to fill forms
and submit my works for consideration at this year’s VGMAs even though I still
don’t need them anyway”, he revealed.
The 17th edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana
Music Awards is slated for April later this year.
