Hot Scoop: Charterhouse says NO VGMAs to Shatta Wale!!

This a very sad news to the fans of Shatta Wale as their artiste kept repeating times without number that it’s because of the fans that was why he submitted his songs for consideration for this year’s VGMAs and that had it not been for the fans, he would not even worry himself submitting his songs for the VGMAs.

Credible information reaching www.bigtriceonline.blogspot.com  has it that Charterhouse, the organizers of the prestigious annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is 99.99% likely to reject Shatta Wale’s work for this year’s VGMAs.

After Shatta Wale submitted his forms to the offices of Charterhouse on 12^th of January, an emergency meeting was held last week Friday, and majority of the board voted against Shatta Wale’s decision to be part of this year’s VGMAs.

On why the board rejected his works for consideration, the board which consisted of Mark Okraku-Mantey, Nii Ayi Tagoe, Francis Doku, Nii Ayitey Hammond, George Quaye and 5 other members were of the view that his reason for deciding to be part of this year’s VGMAs does not hold water.

They argued that since ‘it’s the fans’ who wanted him to submit his songs for the VGMAs but not he, Shatta Wale’s independent decision, they don’t find his reason good enough to accept his decision to be part of this year’s VGMA. They again argued that so what if the fans also tell him next year not to participate in VGMAs, that means this year he would be part, next year he won’t and that goes on and on.

www.bigtriceonline.blogspot.com has also learnt that the board added that it was the same VGMAs Shatta Wale composed songs against; ‘Me no need no award’ to revealing publicly that he was putting all his 3 VGMA awards that he won for sale for just 2 Ghana Cedis since the plaques were just wood and irrelevant to him and his career, then to saying he don’t believe in the VGMAs, as well as saying other damaging stuffs against they, Charterhouse and the VGMAs.

The Board added that nothing has changed about that same VGMAs he now wants to be part of, and that if they have made some concrete changes to the VGMAs in the near future, they will let him (Shatta Wale) and his SM fans know but for now, they are not ready to accept him back to the VGMAs since his reason for making the U-turn is nothing to write home about.

Charterhouse will on Tuesday/Wednesday organize a press conference to officially announce that they have rejected Shatta Wale’s VGMAs form, and as well disclose some changes that have made this year regarding to some of the VGMAs categories, reveal the theme for this year’s VGMAs, officially announce the disciplinary guidelines, and other matters.
