The
headlining court case between dancehall act, Shatta Wale and event organizing
house, Charterhouse and their head, Iyiola Ayoade is sure to go its full
stretch, contrary to talks that the case
might be settled out of the court
room. Many thought the court case between Charterhouse and
dancehall act, Shatta Wale is even dead and gone since little has been heard of
this case since the start of this year.
On Saturday, the PRO of
Charterhouse, George Quaye confirmed in a radio interview with Agyemang Nie on
Rainbow radio that the case continues this Friday, 5th of June,
2015. When asked by the host why it took so long for the case to continue, he
responded that the case was originally supposed to be back in court on 22nd
May.
He said, “The case was
originally supposed to be back in court on the 22nd of May but it
has to be rescheduled since the judicial staff went on their strike, but the
road is clear now for the action to continue from this Friday, 5th
of June.”
When the PR and
business manager of Shatta Wale, Bulldog was contacted to ascertain whether
they are ready for court this Friday, he asked the host to contact the
management of Charterhouse for this court case thing since he didn’t send any
one to court.
On
2nd October 2014, Charterhouse sued Shatta Wale for defamation, seeking damages
of GH10million. This was after the self-acclaimed Dancehall King, took to his
facebook page to upload derogatory videos against the events company and its
CEO, Iyiola Ayoade.
