The Lord of the Rips, 2015: Dkb Shows Class Once Again, Basketmouth & Others Crack Rips At the Lord of the Rips, 2015 Comedy Show (See Photos as well)

On Saturday, April 4, 2015, history was remake when Ghana’s finest, Dkb battle it on stage with Africa’s most traveled and Nigerian’s best comedian, BasketMouth at the 2^nd edition of the Lord of the rips comedy show.

The rip cracking comedy show which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre also witnessed evergreen performances from Kwadwo Akwaboah & Akwaboah Jnr, Pat Thomas & Nana Yaa as well as veteran Smart Nkansah with Yaw Sakyi Afari Mcing the comedy show.

Hogan, the 2Idiots, Sim Card, Dkb, BasketMouth among others thrilled patrons with what they’ve got. As predicted by many, Dkb and BasketMouth were hailed by many as the best on the night.

Dkb was just superb on the night, he was just fantastic once again, more or less, it won’t be wrong to say Dkb has warmed himself 94% into the heart of comedy lovers, and it wasn’t surprising that at the end of his performance, he had a standing ovation from the patrons. Indeed, his jokes were just something else, each line that he dropped, kept audience laughing along and yearning for more. The laughter got crescendo, with the auditorium all cracking up when he talked about the Afia Schwarzenegger and Ayitey Powers-Bukum Banku rift.

BasketMouth once again thrilled and cracked rips to the best of his ability. He talked about how big (rich) men and poor men behave and the lifestyle, how females are smarter than males, talked about societal changes, and the list goes on and on. BasketMouth spent more than 45 minutes on stage but his low point on the night was prior to the commencement of his act, where he sacked veteran Pat Thomas off stage in the course of his performance, and more or less saying that Pat Thomas was just wasting time. This act did not go down well with a lot of patrons.
