Samini’s Manager, Tony Pun Says- HighGrade Family Is Extremely Proud of Stonebwoy + Finally Reveals Why Stonebwoy Left HighGrade Family

Over the weekend, dancehall act, Stonebwoy win big the artiste of the year at the VGMAs. On Hitz fm’s entertainment show on Monday hosted by Andy Dosty, Samini’s manager Tony Pun, on how his camp felt as Stonebwoy been crowned this year’s Artiste of the year, he said, 

“HighGrade family is proud of Stonebwoy to the extreme, and Ghanaians should expect more from him.”

On how he would describe Stonebwoy, he said, “he is a very down-to-earth gentleman, very humble and respectful. He is always hungry, and wants to make things happen for himself.” He also added that Stonebwoy is not like other musicians who after one hit song, they would just rest and won’t write songs again. He is always hungry for things to happen.

There have been loads of speculations as to why Stonebwoy left HighGrade family to form his own Bhim Nation Empire. When Tony Pun was quizzed by Andy Dosty as to what really happened, he disclosed “There comes a time in one’s life where one is supposed to move on, and be his own boss. Truth be told, absolutely nothing happened, Samini and Stonebwoy were friends for a very long time, and seeing the potential in Stonebwoy, it just happened that we have to put pen on paper and expose him to the world at large.”

Samini over the years has calved a niche for himself as that one (1) person who allows others to ride on his fame and also become big in their own way. Look at Gogome(Mugeez of R2bess) now, Stonebwoy is even having his own nation, look at that Kaakie girl, and that of the 44-horror gig rapper, Kofi Kinaata, the list goes on and on, these guys are now the big voices on our Ghanaian music scene.

He also disclosed that Samini is set to release another album titled, Breaking News very soon.
