No one is on Stonebwoy’s nerve to perform live. He is sucking big time on stage nowadays.

After this year’s Tigo Unplugged Concert which was held at Kumasi, lot of the event goers have expressed their displeasure, disapproval, dissatisfaction, annoyance…with Stonebwoy’s performance. The event goers reiterated that his performance on the night was just nothing to write home about, with some even saying he should refund part of the money paid him to Tigo, the organizers of the concert.

Indeed words cannot even describe the VGMA 2015 artist of the year’s performance. It was something like a stupefaction kind of performance- to say the least, he was just ill-prepared for the concert.

What even put him off got to do with his incessant urge to perform live. Doing live performance is no joke. Live band or karaoke performance is not a trial and error affair. It’s a skill that must be mastered, there is no need wanting to show off your live performance prowess if you haven’t yet mastered the act, and no one has put gun to Stonebwoy’s head to perform live or even on his nerve to perform live. Last time I checked, no one has forced him to do a live performance.

Stonebwoy aside his performance at this year’s VGMAs which was received by all and sundry who had attended the award ceremony or had watched on TV as one of the acts who really rocked and rolled the stage has sucked on every stage he has mounted afterwards.

Readers, do you recall what happened to him after his performance at this year’s Ghana Meets Naija Concert? If you don’t, then let me remind you. After his woefully woefulness woeful performance, he was literally cut into pieces, which radio and TV station did not talk at length with the performance he exhibited that night?

It seems the guy is just not ready to listen to constructive criticisms or at least learn. Ghana meets Naija zero-zero, MTV MAMAs Absolut party he was a flop, Miss Malaika no-no, MO Ibrahim concert he did not live up to expectation, Tigo Unplugged Concert…, which A-class concert has Stonebwoy really thrilled, dazzled, mesmerized, stole the show, rocked to the best of his ability this year aside the VGMAs performance? Absolutely none or you want us to talk about the Morgan heritage strictly root concert tour? You and I were not there, remember.

Not only is Stonebwoy’s live performance terribly terribleness terrible, he has also resorted to talking too much in the course of his performance. Your performance on stage is not the best for your caliber of artiste, an artist that won 3 VGMAS, 3 4Stye’s, Afrimas and even BETs just this year. Instead of you investing more time working on your stage craft, your live performances, your costume, polishing your ills to the maximum, you have decided to unnecessary talk in the course of your performance? Who does that?

What is making Stonebwoy to suck on stage nowadays has to do with his urge to over impress his fans and the public. Mind you, we the event goers attend concerts mainly to see you perform your songs, sing along and dance. We are not there for you to show off your ragga/freestyle skills, we already know how good you are. Deliver your monster jams and let us party along.

Perform your songs and get off the stage, what is it with this so-so talking during your performance and also wanting to show off your ragga/freestyle skills with you nowadays for?  If you want to show off your skills, no problem. Fine, then master the live performance, learn how to communicate with the immediate environment, your costume..., and you are at liberty to show off your overzealous skills.

I know definitely you have been booked for almost all the top notch concerts this December- Decemba 2 Rememba, Ovation carols, MTN festival of Nine lessons, Loud in GH, GH Rocks, Vodafone 020 Live... Don’t forget that it’s not your own organized event that you can decide to do whatever pleases you. You are at liberty to perform with live band or do your karaoke kind of performance. Just perform your songs we can relate to, we the event goers want to happily sing along and dance the night away. We did not pay to come watch you give us an awful performance. Too much of the talking, too much of the ragga/freestyle skills…

We are there to have fun, reduce stress and dance the night away. We want you to thrill us, to rock us, to stun us, woe us for once this December and onwards to the maximum. Chale, Ghana is hot already, we are not ready to listen to your freestyle and your ‘balance, balance, balance’ thing you’ve been saying, deliver your hit songs and get off the stage quick-quick, and your official Dj, Dj Justice also needs to be talked to. Can’t he just learn from other artist Dj’s?

He is also one of the contributing factors to your flop when it comes to your karaoke performances. He seriously disturbs with his scratching thing. Mix and blend the songs and get off the stage too, you want to show us your scratching skills or he is thinking it’s best scratch Dj’s contest?  He seriously needs to up his game.

To Stonebwoy once again, please and please, spare us with your so-so unnecessary talking in the course of performing each and every song, and you wanting to show off your ragga/freestyle skills. Please spare us that. God bless your hustle, bro.
