Ghanaian media only talks about my negative stories, but won’t talk about my achievements and awards- Shatta Wale cries
Self-acclaimed
dancehall king, Shatta Wale has expressed his worry as to why Ghanaian media
only talks about him to the maximum when his negative issues popped up, but
won’t do same when he has done something positive.
On Peace Fm’s
entertainment review program last week Saturday, when Shatta Wale was quizzed
about his recent wrangling with Bulldog and Bullhaus Entertainment, Shatta Wale
chose not to say anything about that but rather directed the host to search for
the audios and the videos of the interview. He rather said,
“I’m now seriously
careful with the media, it hurts me so much because the media has decided to
only talk about my negative issues; since my issue with Bulldog came out, they
were and are still disturbing me with calls left, right and center. I don’t
recall the last time media people called me about a recent award that I’ve won
or a recent tour that I went on.”
The multiple award-winning
dancehall act entreated the media to support each and every artiste and stop
the bias. He said, “We are all Ghanaians
and we have to support each other, let’s avoid the bias.”
Shatta Wale revealed that
he will soon be shooting the video of his smash hit single, ‘Hol’it’, a song
that is currently topping chart shows across length and breadth of the country.
Talking about what
inspired the ‘hol’it’ song, he said, “Some people get too worried when they are
passing through negatives. I’m just giving them hope and assuring them that
either positive or negative, they should just ‘hol’it’, and that it’s that
negative thing that will bring them the positive side, people should be
patience in life”
