Angry Burna Boy Speaks out: Less than 40 patrons turned up at the Di Don Gorgon Concert? I’ve never felt this violated in my life even worse they violated my fans

Last night April 24, 2015, Nigerian reggae/dancehall act, Burna Boy was billed to headline the Di Don Gorgon Concert at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre, Ghana. Burna Boy was supposed to be on stage alongside South African rapper AKA, but the duo failed to show up at the concert and their fans in Ghana are not taking it likely.

What some of us however know is that Burna Boy and AKA were both in town in the early hours of Friday. They even went to some  radio stations, later held an autograph signing session in the afternoon and they were both in a studio in Accra making music with Stonebwoy as Burna Boy shared a video of them on Instagram.

According to an angry fan, “the show be like say na house fellowship.” Fans who were itching to see the stars rock the stage left the Accra International Trade Fair Centre disappointed and they swiftly took to Twitter to vent their frustrations; lashing out at AKA and Burnaboy who kept mute until Burna responded by asking fans to go get their refunds.

In his own words, “I’ve never felt this violated in my life even worse they violated my fans. The organizers totally fucked up and yall should get your refunds.” Burna has however refused to expatiate on the said violation and AKA has refused to say a word or appease angry fans.

The event, according to insiders, was a flop because the organizers failed to properly promote the show hence the low turn out. “All the hype was only on social media and people didn’t really know about the event,” another insider said. Burna and AKA who both had reputations to protect allegedly declined from mounting the stage and left the venue to go about other businesses.
